Our Nutrition Program provides hot, nourishing meals meeting one-third of the Recommended Dietary Allowance for nutrients. Each daily menu is approved by a Registered Dietitian, and is “Heart Healthy.” We do not deep fry anything and do not add salt although it is available on the tables. If you have special dietary needs, just let the servers know, and we will be glad to accommodate you as best as possible.
Meals are served cafeteria style for your convenience, but volunteers are available at every meal for help with carrying your tray, finding a table, and getting a seat. We'll gladly bring you a cup of hot, fresh coffee, iced tea, or condiments. When you are finished with your meal, volunteers are available to take your tray. If you are new to the center just let staff or the volunteers know, and we will be happy to assist you.
We suggest a donation for your meal but no one is refused service for lack of funds as long as they have completed the enrollment form.
Eligibility for these services: A client must be 60 years of age or older, a spouse of an individual 60 years of age or older, or a disabled person living in senior housing attached to a congregate meal site. For those under 60, the required price is $9.00.
